Skirt from a dress!

Hello Crafty People!

Happy Friday to you all! It's 5 o'clock somewhere, right? I thought I could celebrate the weekend eve with something fun and super cute. I spend a lot of time stalking the neighborhood Salvation Army looking for good deals and I found this great strapless dress.

I tried it on and it fit great, however, I don't "do" strapless. I just don't like how it smooshed the girls. Even though this is a dress, it has a fantastic tie waist. So, I cut the top of the dress off just above that tie waist. Since I also don't "do" belly shirts, I had no problem leaving the top of the skirt unfinished. Now, I just throw the skirt on, tie the waist so it doesn't fall and I'm on my way. Super comfy and no fuss.

If you like this look and want to score it for yourself without stalking thrift stores, you might try:
