I had a busy day yesterday. I started a project that I had big visions for but I just didn't care for how it was turning out. It is a bookshelf that I had painted before I knew that paint just doesn't stick to that cheap, shiny laminated surface. I am pretty sure that I don't want to spend hours sanding this thing. Anyone have any ideas for this?
Instead of tackling this bookshelf I pruned and transplanted some roses. A decidedly unglamorous job but something that needed doing.....After the yard work I rewarded myself by putting up lights in my "gazebo" (a term used very loosely. It is really just a big box in the yard which holds the hot tub and barbecue grill. I am slowly prettifying it so that it will be a nice space to hang out in come summer. I had purchased the indoor/outdoor white Christmas lights on clearance from the Home Depot. It was difficult putting the lights up because it was 40 degrees and windy, my hands were so cold (I know, I hear the collective groan from anyone having a white weekend). It was all worth it when I warmed up in the hot tub under the soft lighting after I was done.
