Hi Everyone!
Hope you all are having a great weekend. Welcome to my second Show and Share Sunday linky party. It's come as you are, bring anything you've got. Please grab my button from the sidebar and add it to your post or page. If you would follow me, you would make my day!
I'll tell ya, I have been on a real bender this weekend. I barely remembered to stop to eat today, I was so busy! I will be featuring all of this stuff this week.
Today I'll show off this '90's-licious lamp that I have actually been using.

Ya, I cannot believe that I have been using this either. |
I have this great ribbon that my VFS (very fashionable sister) had wrapped around my daughter's Christmas gift. It occurred to me that I could cut the ribbon and use it to decorate my lampshade. But, first, the lamp would have to change.
To complete this project I needed:
|
I needed spray primer, spray paint, spray adhesive, scissors, the ribbon for the design and white fabric, not pictured. |
|
I taped off the fixture and the cord with Frog tape. |
|
I primed then painted it black. |
|
While I waited for the paint to dry, I cut out the designs from the ribbon. |
|
I also recovered the lampshade. This is me making a pattern for the shade. |
|
I used spray adhesive to attach the white cloth to the shade, then to attach the ribbon designs in a pattern to the shade. Didn't this turn out cute? |
Now its your turn. Show me what ya got!!

That's really clever. I love the black on white effect you've created Christine.
