Patriotic Throw Pillow

Hey Everyone!

This past weekend Chris went through his old clothes that he hasn't worn in a while. He actually gave me one of his favorite polo shirts! But not to wear, oh no! That shirt is hideous.

I don't care how cool the concept is. This is an ugly shirt.

So I did what any self respecting upcycler would do. I turned it into a throw pillow! I have some feather filled inserts and I simply turned the shirt inside out and (starting from the bottom) pinned three sides closed then stitched the sides. I trimmed the excess fabric and turned it right side out. I hand stitched the remaining side closed, using a hidden stitch.

Now this is cool!

Even Chris likes it. Now I can enjoy this "shirt" and not cringe when I see it. Thanks Chris!

Very nice indeed! I wish I had an ugly Australia shirt now so I could do the same.

That is fantastic. I love how it turned out. Wish I had one of those to make into a pillow. Maybe at goodwill?
