Hi Everyone!
Happy Earth Day! Is anyone doing anything to celebrate today? We all have the regular schedule today - work and school. I did recently plant grapes, strawberries, stevia and a clementine tree in my front yard. I love beautiful landscaping although my style tends to look a bit haphazard and wild. I also love to do double-duty landscaping and planting an edible yard. I have plans for some veggies next :-) It is my goal to become more self-sufficient and be able to eat from the yard and not rely on transported food as much.
I also upcycle a lot of what I wear. I recently completed a fun, colorful scarf that I made from a skirt. It was a patterned skirt and I simply cut the bottom at the section where the pattern and color changes. I simply hemmed the raw edges and I was done.

I bought this skirt for $1.00 at a garage sale last October. |

This is the bottom of the skirt. |

Aren't the little sequins adorable? |

It's a fun scarf to wear and those little sequins give it just the right amount of bling. |
It gave a nice pop to an otherwise very bland outfit of a black skirt with a white tee. Uh-oh, I think I just put myself into a thrifting mood......See ya!

I love the scarf much more than the skirt! Great idea!
I can't even get my yard to grow grass (for real). I've been toying with the idea of a container garden.
I would not have thought to do a scarf out of the bottom of the dress. How creative and it came out so beautifully. I agree those sequins just make the scarf pop and will fancy up any outfit. Thank for stopping by Blissful and Domestic and for leaving such a sweet comment. Hope you have a wonderufl Saturday:>
That is such a good idea! I love orange! This makes me want to go thrifting! Thanks for sharing this at Fantastic Friday, I hope that you will join us again this week!
