I am showing off my hutch. This teak hutch has been living in the garage since June and I am thrilled to have it back in the house. It usually holds framed photos but this time I thought it would be happy holding my Christmas dishes. These are things that I have collected. On the top shelf, there are mugs that I bought from Macy's about 15 years ago, on clearance. The amber plate I found at the Salvation Army a couple of weeks ago. 50% off! Yay! The other plate on the top shelf is a Santa's cookies plate that was a gift from my mother several years ago. The bottom shelf is 3 sets of gold rimmed dishes, one set with Christmas motif, the other two are bone colored. I love to mix and match my table with these.

| Antique side table. This is the furniture that I am not allowed to paint or re-do in any way. On top is my $1 garage sale lamp. The HoHoHo was a $1 score (I think from Target) and the amber candy dish used to be my grandmother's. The eucalyptus bark was picked up on my lunchtime walk. |

And, the ugly truth. Everyone has such beautiful dining tables! This is my dining table right now. No dining happens here.

hi At last! someone with a house that doesn't look like a magazine shoot!! I think Christmas is such a gloriously messy time with wrapping and happy mess everywhere! jennyx

You think your dining room table is bad, you should see my bedroom floor...it looks like Christmas exploded! lol I SO need to start wrapping presents! :)

Nice finds! Your tree is very pretty. Mine is up but needs something more - not sure what.
