I don't know what possessed me to make a purse from a skirt. One day, I just picked up a cute mini and thought "this would be a cute purse".
I have found that I prefer to use a lined skirt to make this purse. That way the lining of the purse is built right in! I cannot believe I forgot to take a before pic of this skirt but I did. You will able to see what the skirt looked like from the after. I guess you can use your imagination, right?
First I sewed the bottom of the skirt together for the bag.
Then I did the same thing to the lining.
I used scrap to make the loops for the handles I bought, attached the handles and , voila, a new purse!
