Hi Everyone
Have you read my
Ten on Tuesday post? It was ten things in my bucket list. In the list I had mentioned that I want to see a bald eagle in the wild. I would definitely recommend posting your bucket list on your blog because the very next day after this post, I saw it! A soaring bald eagle, big and beautiful and close enough for me to see that gorgeous white head. And that's not all.
Today I spotted the nest!
I knew it because I saw that beautiful white head again, poking out of that enormous nest. Wahoo, now that I know where to look I should see them all of the time!
At the time that I was scanning trees for giant birds, I was also working on this.

My sunny cuff. |
|
I cut this cuff from a denim dress. |
|
I folded a length of this piece of skirt in half and ruffled it down both sides. |
|
I attached it to the cuff, stitching down the ruffled sides. I then made this flower out of a single sided ruffle. I added a shell button to the middle of the flower and attached it. |
The fabric for the above ruffle was left over from this drawstring bag that I had made for my daughter.
|
I wish that I had some good sunlight for this photo. |
|
The above cuff and drawstring bag were made from the same fabric as this scarf. All were cut from a flowy, gauzy skirt, obtained for $1 from a garage sale. I still have more of the yellow fabric. Major score! |
Wishing everyone a good weekend! As for me, I will probably be making lots of fabric flowers as I watch my daughter's bowling tournament.....
