Day Four - Work From Home

Hey Everyone!

Wellllll, I am getting there. I cleaned off my new desk and can finally see the (chalk paint covered) top of it! Hooray! I moved the parrot to another wall in the living room and pulled a writing desk out of storage. I would love to someday redo the writing desk but not right now.....

I began writing this post last night and I was just too tired to finish! I kept nodding off and I was afraid that I would end up publishing something very unfortunate. Today I need to quit early and go over the mountain to pick up some extra kids for the weekend. We are all heading up north to the Sacramento area for an annual family party hosted by Chris' parents and brother. Always fun times!!!

Here is a little bit of what happened yesterday:

Here is Fumiko writing on the new desk with chalk. That is my homemade light box on the right side.
Here is the before of that desk. I painted the laminate top in two coats of chalkboard paint over a coat of primer. The legs are in my red Tractor Implement spray paint, two coats over metal primer.

Here is my entire wall, including the desk.

Here is the seat of the writing desk. The lid opens for storage.
This is the writing desk with the front open. There is storage inside and the lid becomes the workspace.

My new "lamp", a string of lights inside of a decorative birdcage.
I am still having so many problems with my light. This was taken outside in shade (full sunny day) and was posed on a white poster paper. It still looked dark so I used Autocorrect on my Microsoft Photo Editor. Hmmmm,  Anyway, I had gotten this keychain in the mail a few days ago. It is a piece of my late horse's tail, made into a keychain with ribbon and a string of beads hot glued on. Isn't it precious? The veterinarian's office sent it to me.
Today I plan to work on building my new Etsy shop and figuring out this light situation.

You've certainly kept yourself busy - and with beautiful results! You'll find you work more with a work at home job than one outside the home.

Cheers,
